Help Us Help Others
Here’s a positive psychology approach to the problem of addictions: learn from those who have succeeded in recovery! Simple idea, but, like happiness, no one has approached it scientifically before.
As a member of the research team, I would like to make you aware of the International Quit & Recovery Registry The Quit & Recovery Registry is sponsored by the Virginia Tech-Carilion Research Institute (VTCRI) and is under the direction of world-renowned addiction researcher, Warren Bickel, PhD.
If you, or someone you know, have been in recovery from an addiction for any length of time (whether to tobacco, alcohol, drugs, or a harmful behavior), we encourage you to participate in the registry survey to help scientific understanding of recovery. All information is anonymous and confidential. We also invite the registrant – who by definition is a Recovery Hero – to share their story to inspire those struggling with addiction.
The information gathered by the Quit & Recovery Registry will be made available to fellow researchers world wide! HELP US HELP OTHERS!
